Forever Bloom: Meet the Roommate!

Rosa-Bella was left perplexed when we last saw her.

Just who is this interloper?

My intentions were originally to buy Ro only due to expense, but a the last minute I found her a friend and I just couldn't resist :)

*Knock! Knock!* "Who's in there?"

I'm not so sure Ro agrees this was a good move. She's such a awkward soul.

Rosa-Bella - "Couldn't you have let me have my moment first?"

Well I gave her some time alone for her own unveiling. Now it's her friend's turn.

"Well come on out... Don't be shy"

"Red hair?"

After a little coaxing, Ro convinces her now less than enthusiastic companion to join her.

Rosa-Bella - "How was I supposed to know he doesn't like loud noises?"

"Oh my... Is that who I think it is?" *Gasp*

Yes ladies and gentlemen I have purchased Vikare!

For those of you familiar with Makies, you would be aware that Vikare is a Makie exclusively created by one of the MakieLab team themselves! Created in November and having toured to France, among other places, to advertise Makies to the world; Vikare is a veteran.

As you can imagine, finding Vikare in the second tube was quite a shock to Ro.

"Why are you here?"

Vikare's look has changed since he was first created. He had quite the dapper look to start with, but since his first 'fashion shoot', he has had a Pistachio makeover, face-up and haircut. I think they quite suit him :)

That shaggy red mop was surprisingly more impressive than the photos suggested :)

"How's my new look?"

Although initially upset by the idea of another Makie on her territory, Rosa-Bella soon softened after realising it was Vikare. I think she has a soft spot for the older, wiser man.

Rosa-Bella - "My big bro is always welcome. Can we officially adopt him?"

Well he's not going back if that's what you mean...

Excitement out of the way, Ro was quick to point out just how rude it was to be naked in front of a lady. Vikare hadn't seemed to have realised.

"Don't you feel any embarrassment? Get some cloths on!"

It took very little convincing to get Vikare into some pants...

Vikare - "I simply wanted to shut her up. She's so noisy and I would have rather have remained asleep."

"Better?"

Ro was still unsatisfied, so on came the shirt...

Rosa-Bella - "What are you? A supermodel?"

*Sigh* "Isn't this good enough?"

"Do I pass?"

I found Vikare a little harder to position and dress than I had with Rosa-Bella. His joints seem to be stiff and a lot harder to move (presumably from the dye work he had undertaken), however he holds his poses perfectly. Rosa-Bella seems to topple more often. Maybe she's top heavy from the long wig? I'll have to check into that.

I managed to pose the pair, after a little coaxing and messing about, so that they were stood together perfectly. I think it turned out pretty well. I love these photo's.

"Cheeeeeze!"

Inside the Makies tube, you find a certificate identifying their date of creation. This is a nice touch that also shows just how unique these dolls are and I'd imagine this will appeal to collectors.

Vikare's certificate identifies him as one of only fifty Makies especially created to be placed up for sale at the WIRED Pop-Up Shop last year. I would have loved to have seen that, but sadly as it is only a temporary shop, it was not there very long.

Happily for me no else bought Vikare at that time, nor since in the online shop. Having the opportunity now to purchase him was awesome.
