Summer Time... New Deadlines... And Christmas?

So I'm suffering with a bad summer cold...

Lucky me!

But that hasn't stopped me from enjoying the sun, at least a little. I just have avoided staring at a computer too long so the update is later than expected.

Using the awesome weather as an excuse to go out to the garden a couple of weeks ago, I had a little photoshoot with the Makies.

Apparently it only partially made up for missing Ro's birthday (she was made real June 6th and I forgot to celebrate it) whoops! I think I have some grovelling to do...

Anyway... The shoot was interrupted a few times as there was some impromptu audience participation when Stu decided she wanted to join the party, but we eventually sorted it.

Hopper joined Ro for a spot of tea. She seems to be happy to have someone who enjoys the same things as her.

She was not so happy however, about the state of the grass... My brothers dog Nala has dug up half of it just by running in circles xD

Vik and LB decided to have their own little fast food party with Ada, bathing in the sunshine. Unfortunately they hadn't realised that our poor little Ada is afraid of heights. She refused to join them on the wall until Vikare had shown them how safe it was.

"See... No problem!"

"Come on up Ada!"

"See... Not so bad"

"I guess so"

"Just hold my hand if you get scared"

The food items are actually novelty erasers I found when looking for a birthday card last month. They are the perfect size and they don't break the bank, so that's a bonus ;)

I like to look out for little things like this when I'm out and about but lately haven't found very much. Oh well...

A week ago Hamleys in London announced the top toy buys for Christmas... 

Now I know what you're thinking... "Christmas? It's still summer". But apparently this is the best time to show off and buy up for the holidays. Early bird and all that...

I love the fact that the Makies happily joined the list of their Top 10. Just awesome news for such a deserving company :D

They even featured on the telly (for about 5 seconds but still...) about five minutes before the end of 'Good Morning Britain' on the Thursday Morning. I managed to catch it on the 'ITV Player' catch up. It was interesting to see what they think kids will like and the new tech they would be incorporating.

Competition Update...

Well due to my illness and a few requests from friends, I've decided to extend Vikare's competition an extra couple of weeks. The new deadline will be the 19th of July, so there is still time to join in ;)

The rules are as stated before...

Vikare needs a surname. We need you lovely guys and girls to come up with the best one.

• It must sound pleasing to the ear. And match well with Vikare obviously ;)

• It can be in any language. 

• You must be able explain it's meaning or where the name derived from (yup that's essential)

• You can enter as many times as you like, but there can be only one winner after all :)

The competition is open to all. You don't have to be a Makie owner. Even the MakieLabs bods are free to enter too :D
