Marvel-ous!

Ok... So I haven't updated the blog in a while. Apologies, let's just say I've been a little... ill over the past few weeks and let's leave it at that.

A couple of weekends ago I spent a torturous few days following tweets and Facebook posts about the San Diego Comic Con (SDCC), wishing I was there to meet my favourite actors and just simply share in the fun and atmosphere of the con. 

Man, I was so jealous of everyone who managed to go *sigh*

Oh well, I live vicariously though those I follow, managing to sit up quite late watching the live Marvel stream of interviews, panels and signings. It certainly looked busy and that was just the Marvel sections xD

Following that weekend I received a book I had on pre-order, Marvel: Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D - Season One Declassified. It is an awesome behind the scenes look at the TV series with quotes and passages from the team behind its making and the history of the stories that inspired it. 

The book comes in a hard thick card case with the AoS symbol and title on one side...

And the Hydra symbol breaking though it on the reverse, an interesting foreboding of things to come in the Marvel universe ;)

The book cover itself, looks like a S.H.E.I.L.D metal folder with 'broken seal' and classified warning labels.

From the first page and the foreword by Joe Quesada, the quality of the book and it's content are apparent :)

I particularly like the info of the equipment used in the AoS universe and how they accomplished making them feel real on screen. 'Lola', Agent Coulson's flying Corvette has to be my favourite piece on the show...

It appears that it is also Oliver's favourite as well xD

I've seen him whispering to Ro about where to find my credit card... I'm hoping he doesn't find a Lola of his own any time soon, or I may be in biiiiiiig trouble.

I've been thinking of doing an AoS Makie cosplay since getting the book and at first I was thinking Agent Coulson and Agent May, but looking at Oliver I have a funny feeling he may just make a perfect Fitz xD... I'll have to think about how to make his little gadgets like his 'Dwarfs', but I like the challenge ;)
