Alright, in my last post I mentioned that I'd finally went ahead and purchased the lovely Limited Edition Ada Makie from the Makie.me website.
A few days ago those recognisable yellow packages arrived as I was heading out of my estate. I was rather lucky to spot the DHL van as he was rounding the corner and stopped him from passing by ;)
As I was on my way to University for a recording session (that later was cancelled as I entered the building -_-) I had to wait until returning home to see my little freckle faced Ada. It was a welcome break from course work, so I was glad for the pause :)
My little mob decided they would welcome the new arrival, but were confronted by a second box...
Another addition? They had not been consulted and so were not entirely sure about the possibility of a sixth member to the group.
They came around after a short while and it became a competition to see who could find Ada. The girls versus the boys. Ro and LB took the lead and chose their package, followed by Vik and Xue Wei.
The girls started first...
Rosa-Bella - "We win!"
LB - "We got Ada!"
Ah nothing like sibling rivalry...
LB - "But that can't be comfortable..."
Ada came to us, face covered by her bandana and doing the splits... Yes I doubt that was a comfortable pose to remain in for so long. But she looked none the worse for it.
A little extra that came in Ada's box was the purchase of the Tunetastic look containing blue headphones, white music player, purple tote bag and blue high top sneakers (I was lucky to be able to arrange for them to be made to match the headphones instead of the original green they should have been - Thanks MakieLabs), all but the bag made by a 3D MakerBot at the MakieLabs HQ.
That left the boys and their box...
The anticipation grew as...
Vikare - "It was upside down."
Xue Wei - "An unfortunate turn of events."
Oh well, it was easily fixed. Vik attempted to see through the bubble wrap, but alas as with Ada the packing was too much for him.
Releasing the box from the packaging I finally gave him a chance to realise who his new sibling was.
Hopper...
Yes ladies and gentlemen, my first Coca Bean skinned Makie is one of the Limited Edition set. With rosy cheeks and lovely ice white hair she's a welcome addition.
Hopper appeared to have been dislodged from her original pose as well, but it did not quite as painful as her counterpart.
A few moments later she was released and proudly posing with her friend Ada.

Another look came along with Hopper, was the Kawaii set. Pink cats ears, pink pumps, a cupcake handbag and blue phone all printed again on the MakerBot. Along with these came a pair of hands for holding the phone and handbag (additions that seem to now no longer be included in the set - lucky me for getting it while I did).
Along with the look, I also received the Totally Chilled outfit. An adorable penguin top and shorts yay!
With everything released, it was time for introductions...
Hopper and Ada - "Nice to meet you all."
Hugs all around. Even Ro appears to have shyly taken a liking to her new siblings, meekly asking them to join her for a tea party sometime.

LB, ever the one take charge, decided she would be the one to try out the new items first. Nicey white wig and chilled outfit and she looks pretty cool...

And the Kawaii...
Quite adorable, but the ears are a struggle to get on.
Thursday came and I had to go to work, leaving the group to get to know one another. Coming home with an Easter egg from my boss, I thought the peace wouldn't last too long but it appears LB was the only one interested.

| Mine... All mine! |
Well I guess she is a Makie version of me... Why wouldn't she be addicted to chocolate too?!
Happy Easter everyone :D
