Dolly Shopaholic?

I have always loved to shop. What girl doesn't? But since purchasing Rosa-Bella and Vikare, I have been obsessed with new clothes, props and other miscellaneous for my Makies.

Rosa-Bella - "Hey, don't blame this on us!"

This new found passion now has to be curbed however as I have a budget to adhere to for my upcoming University course starting in September. Yep I'm terrible at saving lol.

Before I started pulling back on my spending however, I did make a few purchases...

First up I purchased a lovely little skirt from maybayer2008. Unfortunately, as I seem to do all too often, I didn't pay attention to the size and ordered in 1:4 scale and it's just a tad too big. Nothing a pin doesn't cure however, so it's still wearable.

Show your tartan flare!

Yep it's pink... One of my least favourite colours. But I have to admit, with Ro's white colouring and the fact that it is a tartan pattern rather than just plain pink, seems to work well. 

Rosa-Bella - "You promised no pink!"

I promised not to make anything pink. I did not promise not to buy anything pink. There is a difference.

Vikare - "And now Ro has learned the meaning of the word loophole..."

Rosa-Bella - "Oh shut up."

Next up I bought a gorgeous little hand knitted jumper by Hegemony77. 

A little winter warmer

It was initially created to fit Blythe, Bal or Monster High dolls, so it is a little tighter on Ro than it would have been on it's intended owner, but I still like the way it looks. A lovely additional feature provided by Hegemony77, is the shopping bag which is so cute and the little gloves to stop tiny fingers from piercing the knit. 

Being able to remove Ro's hands means the gloves aren't really necessary, but they're a nice option should I ever put the jumper on another doll in the future.

Oh no you don't!

Ro appeared to like her new wardrobe so much, she grabbed my bank card and headed straight for the nearest computer to log into Etsy... Luckily I caught the little mischief maker before she could log into my account. My card is now safely locked away from sticky Makie fingers.

Vikare - "Ha! Like that'll stop her!"

A somewhat disagreeable Ro eventually stopped sulking long enough to finish taking pictures. I did however realise the weather was far too hot to continue to wear the knit for much longer, so I allowed her to change back into her cute white mini later on :)

 

"Sigh, a model's work is never done"

I had been thinking that Rosa-Bella had enough accessories, until I was looking through the Makie forums at old threads and spotted Pokfil's Millie wearing some absolutely stunning jewellery made by Pokfil herself. 

The shopping bug stirred in me and I couldn't help myself... I just had to order something special! 

So onto mok.me.uk I went and a unique custom set was created :)

Having ordered Rosa-Bella with her ears pierced, a fact I thought I'd overlooked at the time, meant I could include earrings in the order. I love how they turned out! So cute :)

Just call me Lucky!

I could have bought the whole shop if I'd let myself, but I restricted the buy to only two pieces. The second was a little double charmed chain. The key and padlock was Fil's idea and it suits Ro perfectly. She always does seem to keep a lot of little secrets.

"Just perfect!"

Showing off, Ro just had to show Vik her new gifts. Not usually one for jewellery Vikare wasn't really that impressed. I guess it's just a girl thing haha.

"So what's all the fuss?" 

Rosa-Bella - "I think she should have gotten you something too Vik."

Vikare - "Like what? My ears aren't pierced."

Rosa-Bella - "I meant a chain or leather piece."

Vikare - "Nah..."

"Oh whatever!"

When I get a chance I might look into something a little more to Vikare's tastes, but for now I think he's satisfied as he is. 

Ok, the card is locked away again. No more big spends until I know I can afford them... 

Oh, who am I kidding? I'm a shopaholic, it's not gonna change any time soon!
