Sun and Skirts

A few days ago whilst looking for another outfit for Rosa-Bella, other than a onesie or tutu, I decided to create something with the material I used for Vikare's lovely new top. Using the same pattern I had  adapted from MakieLabs' simple T-shirt pattern, I simply shortened the body and lengthened the arms.

Using a rectangle of the material, I folded it in half and cut on a diagonal at the bottom before sewing the edges together. I included some elastic at the top and there we have it... A skirt :)

Hi there!

And here it is

After a little posing with their new outfits, they decided to join me in the garden to enjoy the awesome sun that we've been lucky to see this past week or so.

It appeared that they had decided to look for shapes in the clouds. I didn't have the heart to point out that there wasn't any clouds to look at. They didn't seem to notice and it kept them amused for a while, so they weren't up to any mischief for the time being.

The same day I was lucky to receive a little something (and I mean little) in the post that I had ordered. I'm not sure if anyone else lucky enough to own a Makie, have the same problem with the hair as I do, but without resorting to an impromptu haircut, I needed something to keep Ro's hair out of her face.

Looking for something suitable for a head so small was no easy task, however not long ago was able to find a lovely little eBay shop, ellasdolls, that sells hairpins for smaller dolls among many other lovely items. They had to be sent from Australia, but they came fast and were really cheap. It has made the hair problem virtually disappear and resulted in a cute little style. It's not a major change, but for my purpose it is a definitely an improvement.

I'll have try a few other styles, but here is the first attempt :)
