They may not look like much from the first pictures, but these panels make up the front and back of the outfit.
A bit of Velcro and a lot of patience later, and the base body is done. I even managed a little tail in back. Still not guessed what it is yet?
We add the paws... Nope? No thoughts?
Using the hood template from MakieLab's hoodie pattern I attempted to make a hood for my new creation. It didn't lend itself to the material however and it was just too restrictive. I couldn't even fit Ro's head in without her hair on...
Back to the drawing board and a strip of felt down the centre between the two original pieces seemed to give a great effect. It isn't the prettiest sewing but that will be easily remedied.
The masterpiece is near enough complete... We finally have a Makie Panda Kigarumi!
Ro still believed something was amiss, until I put her new shoes on to complete the picture...
They're a bit bigger than I antisipated (I should have paid better attention to the description oops), but a little fabric pushed in front and they stay on well.

I have yet to sew the hood to the body piece as I'm unsure if I want to have a full onesie or a two piece I can switch around. Hmmm... Some thought required I guess.
Ro loves it, however Vikare is having reservations about the thought of me making one for him too.
Vikare - "I'm just not the onesie type"
Rosa-Bella - "Come on Vik. It's fun!
Maybe something a little less out there for Vikare I guess. I'll have to think of something unique :)
