Updates... So slow... I know...

I have been regretfully slow in my updates. I seem to be a week, no two weeks behind the events and photos... Oops!

Gomennasai... *Bows deeply*

Rosa-Bella & Vikare (together) - "Sumimasen!"   *both bow*

I shall endeavour to change this lax habit of mine. Starting today (I hope)

Ok Catch up time

A few weeks back, inspired by Duckie's Makie Tunic tops / dresses, I decided to make a little something for Ro that would be more in tune with the gorgeous sun we've been lucky to have recently.

I started with a stretchy white material and much like with her skirt, cut a square of the fabric, sewed the sides then added a hoop of elastic at the top.

Et voila!

Sitting pretty

A white mini dress... Well maybe not so mini when she's standing, she is a lady after all (well at least she tries so hard to be). I call it the body sock :)

It's kind of form fitting and if I'm not careful with the lighting you can sometimes see through it just a little.

Rosa-Bella - "Did you have to point that out?"
Vikare - "Well it is pretty obvious."
Rosa-Bella - "Pervert! Just where are you looking?"
Vikare - "The other way when you're around..."

That's enough from you two... *sigh*

Ok, so I had one dress, but I wanted something else similar to Duckies tunic style...

Taking some of the lace material that Ro is conveniently sitting on here in the photos, I started with a basic t-shirt shape, cut a v-necked collar and lengthened it to reach below the 'body sock' mini dress.

Take my hand

It was a little fiddley with the need to sew it completely by hand, but I think it turned out well. Obviously as it is see through on its own, Ro needs to wear the mini underneath, but I like that layered element. Maybe I'll try other colours for underneath...

I also gave another little project a go at the same time.

Furniture is a bit expensive, so I decided to make some for myself. Thankfully Kaitan has kindly shared a template for a rather nice chair and although the first attempt was a little wonky. It did the job just fine, allowing the often unstable Ro to pose without falling over :)

Ro seemed to be grabbing most of the limelight posing with her new dresses, so I gave Vik a little something to keep him busy in the meantime. I just couldnt help myself however and took a few pics of him sitting in his new chair, as his treat was just too hilariously oversized.

This'll keep him going

"Just give me some wine gums and I'm happy"

He did eventually offer Ro a sweet or two, however she had found herself her own form of treat. The sneaky little minx had let herself into my perfume collection and found a bottle that was just the right size for her...

"I'd prefer perfume any day"

Vik seemed to look a little too hot in the long sleeves, so I thought I'd make him a t-shirt from the same material as Ro's mini dress. I again adapted the t-shirt pattern provided by MakieLabs including a v-neck collar.

There is a slight pattern to the material that you can't really make out in all of the pictures. I thought it would look better with the pattern running length ways and you can just make out the lines.

Feeling cool

With the little extra freedom from his new ensemble, Vik took the opportunity to do a little exploring in the garden.

"Oh you caught me!"

"Welcome to my new hideout"

I think next on the agenda for Vik will be new trousers or shorts :)
