Vikare's new wardrobe

As I seemed to have been mainly focusing on Rosa-Bella with her Panda Kigarumi, I decided to do a little something for Vikare.

"What are you doing now?"

I decided to make a top from some black material I had cut up (old clothes sure do come in handy) and started planning how I would go about making it. It's only a simple top, but I'm sure you'll agree he looks great in it.

Vikare - "Black definitely seems to be my colour right now"
Rosa-Bella - "Black is always my colour"

You guys should try something different every once in a while.

Rosa-Bella - *folds her arms in front of her* "So long as it isn't pink!"
Vikare - "Ditto!"

*Sigh* Fine, I won't make anything pink. Anyway back to the top...

Taking the simple T-shirt pattern provided by MakieLabs, I lengthened the arms and made the body slightly smaller (it seemed too baggy when I made a mock up)

Here he is modelling his first new shirt :)

"Hey there..."

There are no fastenings with this particular shirt, nor velcro, so I pretty much had to take Vikare apart to put it on.

It was the first time that I had removed Vikare's limbs and I was very nervous, especially when taking off his head (it just didn't feel natural). There was a near miss when I accidentally bent his arm the wrong way at the elbow to remove it, but it was soon sorted.

I had also started making a hoodie, also from the MakieLabs patterns, but when I put the fabric up against Vikare to ensure correct measurements, I realised it wouldn't suit him.

Ro seemed to like the colour so I continued working and finished the hoodie for her use instead.

"Looking good!" ...Maybe not

It's a little rough around the edges, but for a first attempt I think I did well.

Wanting to show off Vikare's new look, Ro convinced a rather embarrassed Vikare to join her in competing for Duckiemonster's talent competition.

It was quite the balancing act, considering Rosa-Bella's tendency to topple. But plenty of whitetac later and I managed to get them to do a little ballet recite for the camera. Here's a few more images to enjoy...

"Come on Vik, smile!"

"This is so embarrassing..."

Much more to come in future. Including a unique something for Vikare I have yet to completely  devise :)
